Inspired by the work of Andy Warhol, Larry Jason decided to focus on producing silkscreen paintings in the medium of screenprint acrylic on canvas. Using his photography of signs on buildings, automobiles and portraits, Jason achieves his style by enlarging his photographs and transferring the image to a silkscreen, then printing it on a canvas and painting over the silhouette. Jason has shown his artwork in galleries and museums throughout California including the Bakersfield Museum of Art, the Automobile & Art Gallery in Long Beach and Bergamot Station Arts Center in Santa Monica. Jason’s work is currently on display at Bird Dog Arts at the Outlets at Tejon Parkway in Ranch, California. —
