“The innate beauty of natural landscapes, the peace and quietness found there, and the freedom to explore each landscape inspires my visual and emotional senses, encouraging my creative impulses to respond,” shares Van Noord. “Adventures await, as I discover the possibilities of artistic expression that are before me.”
Van Noord’s goal is to create quality collectible works that reflect the beauty of the subject and the beauty of the paint, inviting collectors and viewers to bring their own personal interpretations and experiences into each scene.

She says, “I follow my heart in the studio, trust my instincts and paint with excellence, using my knowledge of composition to create works that challenge me in new ways. My experience of having painted landscapes with palette knives for many years continues to find new ways of expression. And that makes me smile.”
Van Noord is from Grand Haven, Michigan, a charming harbor town on Lake Michigan with sandy beaches and gorgeous sunsets. She spent many years living and painting in Arizona. The American Southwest lives on in her heart and art as she happily resides in the land of her roots and near family. —
