This vibrant abstract was my emotive response to the human condition in a post pandemic world, when there was a lot of uncertainty about the future. Since then we have experienced a war, a recession and other natural disasters in different parts of the world. I am an optimist at heart, and a believer in the resilience and strength of the human spirit, thus the title to this painting "A Brighter Future". This award winning painting was selected by a jury of gallerists, museum curators and other art world luminaries to be featured on the Jumbotron in Times Square and also at the Oculus, World Trade Center, NY. I've spent a lot of time painting en plein air, and after painting nature outside and watching the nuances of light as it reflects on the sea - it become a surface on which to observe the changing effects of light on water.
