A Peaceful Afternoon
Dana Lombardo
Oil on Linen
30 x 24 inches (L x W)
This is portrait of a young Blackfeet maiden from an Edward Curtis photo. I loved the unguarded look on her face and the naturalness of her pose. I wanted to make her real and relevant, not just an old black and white photo.

Afternoon Shade
Dana Lombardo
Oil on Linen
20 x 16 inches (L x W)
This a portrait of a Native American woman with a baby on a cradleboard taking shelter from the sun. I loved the play of the warm light against the cooler shade. I wanted to convey the feeling of extreme warmth in the Arizona afternoon.

Oil on Canvas
48 x 24 inches (L x W)
This is a scene I created from a local restaurant and bar, The Garage. I loved the play of the all the light and color on the bottles against the large shapes of the figures in the front of them.

Symphony in Red

Oil on Canvas
48 x 24 x 1.5 inches (L x W x D)
I loved the way the light moved around the fabric and subject. My goal was to give the feeling of light moving around on the canvas.
